Visiting our first venue.

It took us about 30 to 40 mins to get there we only just managed to stumble upon it as we had, had to take an early exit off coz we were low on petrol (which h2b was supposed to sort before we left lol) Anyway we eventually got there and its off the beaten track so we r going up this little country lane crawling along becoz there was a woodcock in the middle of the road and rather than using its wings and flying off it just pootled along the road infront of us, like it was out for an afternoon stroll haha

Anyway we pulled up outside and went in to be greeted by a smell like your nan's home cooking and not in a good way, we asked for the lady and waited for her in the bar where the tables still had crumbs on them even tho it was empty. Anyway that wasnt so bad although h2b did mention that the bar furniture looked like old conservatory furniture. I thought id look at the lovely tudor style beams on the outside of the building, through an open door and yes it was a lovely garden and it was nice and sunny but there were litterally hundreds of lady birds all over the white and black outside of the place and where the door was open i noticed when i went back in that there were quite a few crawling over the doorway and ceiling. I know they cant help that but it just made me a bit itchy lol

We walked through to a small banquet room with dark wood on part of the walls which made it very dark and we were then taken through to a room where the reception would take place and, if required, the ceremony. As soon as we walked in it struck cold the carpet looked slightly thread bare in a horrible beige brown colour with yellow walls which looked lovely on the internet (but i guess its done up for a wedding then and looks better) and a small bar and toilet in the same room so it was 'pretty much self contained' and that was about all we were shown as all the rooms were full which is understandable but we drove all that way to be there about 10/15 mins and we were really dissapointed.

Needless to say i was quite quiet in the car on the way home lol
